Hi, I have unashamedly stolen the idea of doing a blog for my travels and experiences from my very wonderful ex-wife, Ms. Dig. Yes we still talk and are great friends! So I hope I can keep up to her high standards of blogging.
I have had a varied career over the last 30 years and as I have matured my passion for the environment and the future of the earth has grown with me. In no way have I been an 'environmental angel' in some of my previous careers, but they are stories for another day. Anyway, in 2010 while working as a Park Ranger a unique opportunity came up to go to Africa in 2011 and do something very practical for the preservation of wildlife on that continent.
So I threw in my job, got a new passport, said goodbye to my friends and I am currently sitting in in Perth Airport waiting to board my flight to Johannesburg.
I realise this post is very boring with no pretty pictures but I do hope to develop it as my travels and experiences progress. So whether you are already a friend of mine or somebody who has stumbled on this page, please keep visiting as it develops and follow my travels!
